Workshop Make patterns with natural dyes - 29 June 2024

Would you like to learn pattern techniques and experiment with botanical dyes ?

In this workshop we will draw designs on fabric with soy milk and mordant ink.

Afterwards we dye the fabrics in different dyebaths and we use the Japanese shibori technique to create beautiful patterns.

Be surprised and dive into the world of natural dyeing with me.

This workshop will cover:
- different types of plants and foodwaste and how to extract colour
- preparing different fabrics for the dyeing process
- how to make plant colors light- and wash fast

- using different pattern techniques to achieve different results 

You will go home with textile samples and a statement piece: a cotton fabric printed in your favorite technique.

Time: 18 :30- 22 o’ clock

The workshop is held in dutch and optional in english ( if one or more participants are not talking dutch)
